The Benefits of Essential Oil

I honestly have to say I was not completely aware of how beneficial essential oils really were, and I am still learning myself about all the various essential oils and their benefits. Not all essential oils are good for candle making, and so I will only focus in this blog on those that are. These are the ones that benefit you by diffusing the scent in your rooms. The scents listed below are available.

Generally speaking, essential oils are natural ways for us to cleanse, improve concentration, re-energize, and boost our body and immune system and they have been used for a long time. You don’t always need to resort to chemically made pills; sometimes herbs and plants can offer what you need just as well. Essential oils can help with headaches, body aches, colds and flu, insomnia, and many many other troubles.

Essential oils in aromatherapy candles work by stimulating your senses and making you feel good. When you burn an aromatherapy candle in your home, you inhale the scent which goes through the olfactory system and communicates with the emotional center in the brain. So, scent plays a big factor when it comes to positive emotions and well-being.

The benefits of each essential oil I offer:

grapefruit: is a refreshing, citrusy scent that stimulates the mind and promotes happy feelings.  It’s even said to enhance digestion (i.e. weight loss). This scent can be burned at any time.

lavender: is a calming and soothing scent. Lavender has the ability to calm the nerves, relieve headaches and to help you sleep better. This is a scent you would burn before going to bed.

lemon: is an incredibly refreshing scent. It smells like fresh lemon peel. Lemon makes you feel more cheerful, invigorated, and energized.

orange: is a citrusy scent that is odor-eliminating. It helps reduce nervousness, stress and insomnia.

peppermint: is a clean and crisp scent. The scent promotes alertness and helps with headaches and fatigue. This is a candle you could burn during the day.

rosemary: is a crisp scent. Rosemary improves cognitive function. It helps with depression, fatigue, and forgetfulness.
